This kitchen was orginally white washed oak. On all of the cabinet doors and frames the deep oak grain had to be first filled prior to the base coat application
The cabinetry completed with a stylized mahogany without pores. The benefit, no demoliton was necessary to replace the cabinets, the doors were done off site in the studio, only on site work was the boxes of the cabinets. Less mess, and the kitchen could be used each day for meals as the process proceeded.

WOODGRAINED KITCHEN

​​On this kitchen project the client had already researched installing new cabinetry. The client was less than happy that new cabinets required the removal of all the cabinets and the inabliity to use the kitchen for an extended period of time. The solution was to woodgrain the cabinets to the wood desired without tearing up the whole kitchen.

The orignal wood was a white washed fir. When the time came for new windows in the room, a decision was made to update the rest of the room.
At the end of the process the finished result is dramatic and brings the room to life.

LIVING ROOM WALNUT STYLE
This living room cabinetry was originally white washed fir which made the room look washed out. The original wood was sanded, then a base coat color was applied. A two layer walnut woodgrain was then grained on the base coat, then three coats of oil varnish for protection.

This wood pedestal usually had a cover over it until the client decided to make it marble to emphasize the statue. The commission was to make a marble pedestal that compliment the statue.
This wood pedestal was unprimed. All the nail holes and seams had to be filled prior to priming and a base coat for marble.

The commison for this marble pedesal was to create a custom marble to compliment the statue which is a very important piece to the client.
