There was a lot of damage to this frame. It was missing some decorative molding along the top. At the bottom the gesso was damaged, and the beaded molding was entirely missing along the bottom and a small bit up the sides. The damaged gesso was removed and new gesso was applied prior to attaching the newly made button molding where it was missing. There were large cracks between the edge molding that were filled with gesso putty as well. Once all repairs had been done they were blended in to the the existing frame finish. It was also gently cleaned.
